ASANTEHENE TO ATTEND PRESIDENTIAL INAUGURATION IN SEYCHELLES AT THE INVITATION OF PRESIDENT-ELECT PATRICK HERMINIE
The Consulate of the Republic of Seychelles in Ghana is pleased to announce that His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene, has graciously accepted an official invitation from His Excellency Patrick Herminie, President-Elect of the Republic of Seychelles, to attend his Presidential Inauguration Ceremony scheduled for Sunday, 26th October 2025, in Victoria, Seychelles.
His Majesty will travel to Seychelles with a delegation from the Manhyia Palace to honour this significant national occasion, which marks the beginning of a new chapter in Seychelles’ democratic and political journey.
The invitation extended by President-Elect Herminie reflects the warm and enduring friendship between Asanteman and the Republic of Seychelles, a relationship strengthened during the historic visit of His Excellency President Wavel Ramkalawan and the First Lady to the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi, Ghana, in 2024. That visit underscored a shared commitment to deepening cultural and diplomatic ties between the two nations.
This visit by the Asantehene further highlights the growing collaboration between Ghana and Seychelles in the areas of culture, heritage diplomacy, and mutual development cooperation.
